In 1992 and 1993 Anco Mali visited Djerba, an island off the coast of Tunisia.
Djerba is known is known for its whitewashed desert towns influenced by Berber, Arab, Jewish and African cultures. Anco was seduced by the different cultural influences and the etheric atmosphere of the island.
